Named as one of Screen International’s ‘Stars of Tomorrow’, Michael Socha is a multi-talented, dynamic actor. Having studied for a National Diploma of Performing Arts in 2007 at Burton College, Michael has gone on to receive rave reviews for performances on stage, television and film.
Having started off in short films and theatre productions, Michael is perhaps best known for his role in THIS IS ENGLAND – the film, and subsequent television episodes, THIS IS ENGLAND ‘86/’88/’90. He has also gone on to lead roles in THE ALIENS, WONDERLAND, BEING HUMAN, PHILIP K. DICK’S ELECTRIC DREAMS and CHERNOBYL.
Along with DOUBLE DATE, Michael has also been seen on cinema screens as Julot in the remake of PAPILLON alongside Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek, as well as WALK LIKE A PANTHER, THE KEEPER, SHANK, KILLERS ANONYMOUS. He will also be seen this summer in another Pinpoint Presents film – A GUIDE TO SECOND DATE SEX!
As well as working on camera, Michael has also acted in numerous plays. He received great acclaim for his performance in THIS IS LIVING, along with GLAMOUR, HE’S TALKING and DARK OF THE MOON (to name a few).
